    Accessing Our Collections

A Quick Peek into Our Holdings

Here's a brief run through on our collections, which can be accessed via a2o.

Public Archives

Each year, the Government of Singapore produces and receives over a million records, ranging from media releases to documents related to the daily administrative issues. An important mandate of NAS is to facilitate the effective management of these documents, to determine and preserve those of archival value. These records offer insights into the forces and factors that shaped the policies of post-war Singapore.

Non-current/public archives created by government records can be accessed via
GRID (Government Records Information Database)

Speech Textual Archives

STARS is a web-based system that provides public access to our growing collection of ministerial speeches which were transferred to the NAS mainly by Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Information and the Arts. STARS was developed in 1999.
