It is amazing how many diverse cultures and customs can be found in our little island nation. While every ethnic community is encouraged to nurture its own unique culture and retain its traditional values, it is Singaporeans' shared experience and compassion for one another that is the heartware or “glue” that binds the nation together. This exhibition aims to promote a better understanding of our varied cultures that give Singapore its unique flavour, tracing the customs and traditions, from cradle to grave, of various communities in Singapore.
