Introduction
National Heritage Board School Membership offers a host of membership privileges for government and private schools and educational institutions, besides providing unlimited free access to our NHB National Museums, which include the Asian Civilisations Museum, the National Museum of Singapore, the Singapore Art Museum and the upcoming Peranakan Museum (opening in April 2008).
NHB museums support MOE's policies and initiatives such as National Education, History, Social Studies, arts and inter-disciplinary learning and are relevant to students of all ages. They also help to promote awareness and appreciation of our heritage and history.
(I) NHB School Membership Scheme
The NHB School Membership Scheme is applicable only for Primary, Secondary, Junior College, Private Institutions and Foreign System Schools.
Membership Privileges
- Unlimited free admission to NHB museums ( except for blockbuster exhibitions ) for 1 year ( effective from the date joined )
- Discounted rates for booking of ComfortDelgro Buses
- Priority bookings for workshops (teachers or students) and enrichment programmes
- Discounts on selected purchases from the National Archives of Singapore and the Museum Shop by Banyan Tree
- Besides organised visits, staff and teachers can also visit the museums at any time during the period of validity
- Opportunities for attachments or possible collaborations
- Advice on heritage projects/ events
- Guided tours in museums for member schools only. Schools are encouraged to book their museum visits via Ministry of Education's Learning Journeys' website

Schools are encouraged to book their visits via the Ministry of Education's Learning Journeys website, where more information such as availability of guided tours is available.

(II) NHB Tertiary Institutions Membership Scheme (NEW!)*
NHB Tertiary Institutions Membership Scheme is applicable only for ITEs, Polytechnics and Universities
With the current emphasis on bi-cultural studies, and the need for Singaporeans to be more culturally aware of our heritage and that of the world, the National Heritage Board is glad to introduce a membership scheme, catered specifically for all tertiary institutions in Singapore. This scheme is designed to make our National Museums more accessible to all students, and aimed to make museum going a preferred hobby amongst our young.
