DESIGNING SOUND

Thumbnail for Whats On 25 July 2023

In this talk, ACM senior curator Jackie Yoong and independent sound artist Chong Li-Chuan discuss Chong’s role in the Andrew Gn: Fashioning Singapore and the World special exhibition, and how he responded to the themes of POWER, PRACTICE, and ROOTS in Gn’s work through composition and sound design. They will also highlight some of the unique challenges involved in designing sound for an exhibition space — a very different format from a runway show, with distinct layout and acoustic considerations.
