The NHB Heritage Town Award was first awarded in 2011 to
recognise and promote greater local community ownership of their
heritage. This bi-annual Award scheme encourages the community to
organise and participate in heritage activities that celebrates
both Singapore and the community's history and origins.
Who can apply for the Award?
Citizens' Consultative Committees (CCC) can
apply on behalf of their communities for the Heritage Town Award.

The award is open to all CCCs with a proven record of past heritage
activities. The CCCs must also clearly articulate the vision
of their heritage town supported with a proposed calendar of

The award opens for application every two
years. The submission deadline for nominees will close
in March 2014. Notification of results will be in July 2014
followed by announcement and presentation of Award.
All nominations by CCCs must reach NHB by 5pm, 1 March
2014. Applications must be submitted in one package
