Archives Conservation Lab (ACL) conserves archival records in paper medium of the National Archives of Singapore and applies various treatments and processes such as anoxic treatment, de-acidification, leafcasting, mechanical cleaning, manual repair, tissue mounting, encapsulation and book binding using archival materials and methods. |

The ACL conserves archival materials such as architectural drawings, maps, building plans and rare books. Before carrying out any treatment, each record is carefully examined to assess its physical condition and the choice of treatment(s) required.
