Established in 1979, the Oral History Centre (OHC) records and preserves the social memories of our nation through recorded interviews. The collections cover a wide range of heritage subjects from the history of medicine to sports, from broadcasting to arts and education to legal history. These fascinating and insightful recordings, supplemented with transcripts, are available for listening and research at the Archives Reading Room. The Centre also acquires recordings of subjects related to Singapore both locally and overseas to enrich the collection. To reach out to the public, OHC also conducts workshops on oral history methodology for schools, organizations and members of the public upon requests.
