The Singapore-China Third Country Training Programme (TCTP) was conceived to contribute to the Initiative for ASEAN Integration. Noting that Singapore and China had synergetic expertise in areas that could be valuable to the development needs of ASEAN countries, the Singapore-China TCTP held its inaugural run in Beijing in 2008. The programme, titled Information Network Construction for ASEAN Countries, sought to equip participants on how to effectively and strategically deploy government systems through the strategic use of IT. Given the rich historical and cultural heritage of ASEAN, the 2nd Singapore-China TCTP, titled Preservation of Recorded Heritage, looks forward to exploring the multi-faceted preservation practices of a comprehensive archival institute and improving the archival of ASEAN's treasured heritage.
