Travelling Exhibitions

NAS has put together an array of travelling exhibitions to suit all age groups and audiences. Our exhibitions travel to schools, community clubs, shopping centres and other locations in Singapore. They are available for booking at a fee throughout the year.

Internship and Attachment Programmes for Students

Student internships/attachments are offered to schools on an annual basis. The programme aims to introduce them to NAS and its functions by allowing them practical hands-on experience in areas like conservation, documentation, automation and research. Students are given the opportunity to interact with professionals and thus able to expand their future career options. Through the attachment, students will also be imbibed with positive work values and attitudes.

Student Projects

Every year, NAS receives several batches of students from the schools and institutions of higher learning such as the polytechnics, for attachment programmes. To ensure that the students apply their knowledge and skills obtained during their stint with NAS, they are encouraged to submit projects related to their course of studies and to NAS' mission.

  Visits and Guided Tours

Reflections at Bukit Chandu (Reflections)

Set amidst the lush greenery of Bukit Chandu in the historic Pasir Panjang area, this World War II interpretative centre endeavours to challenge its viewers to revisit their innermost thoughts about rootedness. Walk-in visitors can explore the centre independently while guided tours can be arranged for groups from schools and various public and private organisations.  Reflections also conducts enrichment programmes designed for students with activities focused on the centre's galleries. More information on Reflections, World War II and bookings are available on http://www.s1942.org.sg/

Memories at Old Ford Factory (Memories)

This national monument, gazetted on February 2006, first began operations as South East Asia's first car assembly plant. Today, it unveils a permanent WWII gallery featuring the exhibition "Syonan Years: Singapore Under Japanese Rule, 1942-1945".

This exhibition is a melting pot of our people's memories, experiences and stories of the period when Singapore was Syonan-to. Poised to fill the missing links in Singapore's WWII story, the gallery relays poignant stories of people's experiences during the Occupation years. Underlying these stories, inspiring lessons of perseverance, hope and creativity are waiting to be discovered.

Come on down to Memories, be inspired by our stories. For booking enquiries, or for more information about Memories, please visit http://www.s1942.org.sg/
