Our nation's heritage is waiting to be discovered at the National Archives of Singapore. As part of our mission to promote an awareness of Singapore's history, NAS has several outreach programmes to cater to your specific needs.

Travelling Exhibitions

NAS has put together an array of travelling exhibitions to suit all age groups and audiences. Our exhibitions travel to schools, community clubs, shopping centres and other locations in Singapore. They are available for booking at a fee throughout the year.

Reflections at Bukit Chandu (Reflections)

Nestled among the lush greenery at Bukit Chandu (Opium Hill), Reflections at Bukit Chandu memorialises the dedication, courage and unyielding sacrifice of 1,400 Malay Regiment soldiers who fought against 13,000 invading Japanese troops at the site – two days prior to the fall of Singapore on 15 February 1942.

Memories at Old Ford Factory (Memories)

Memories at Old Ford Factory is the site where the British surrendered Singapore to the Japanese on 15 February 1942. Gazetted as a National Monument in 2006, it serves as a modern day reminder of Singapore’s turbulent years as Syonan-to. It is a treasure trove of oral history narrations, artefacts, photos and documentaries that pay tribute to the ingenuity, creativity and resilience of the people who went through the 44 months of the Japanese Occupation.

Walk-in visitors can explore the galleries independently while guided tours can be arranged for groups from schools as well as public and private organisations
