Donate an Object

The Asian Civilisations Museum seeks to acquire remarkable works, especially in areas of cross-cultural art, to inculcate a better appreciation of the rich history that has created Singapore’s multi-ethnic society.

Gifts of art and objects help to enhance the National Collection and create new dimensions of knowledge and experiences. Every time you donate an object, you help us leave a richer legacy for the future generations.

All donations are evaluated by our curatorial staff to ensure quality, authenticity, and significance for the National Collection and to ensure a best new home for your donation. Our dedicated curators will guide you through the stages of vetting, assessment and valuation.

We will be pleased to acknowledge your contribution on the label of your adopted object(s) in the museum. You will also receive a tax deduction 2.5 times the value of the donated artefacts
( IRAS rules and regulations apply).

Mr Tan Gek Gnee
A Donor Story

“Our family wanted to honour our father and decided to donate the best of his Chinese art collection to ACM. The objective was to carry on his legacy of promoting Chinese works of art, by sharing his art collection with the general public … We hope that young artistic minds will be stimulated, once they have the opportunity to study beautiful artworks on display in the museums.”

- Mr Tan Gek Gnee, donor of the Xiang Xue Zhuang Collection in memory of Dr Tan Tsze Chor
