This June, we’re proud to present Up Close with ACM: Upsized, a series of access-friendly programmes at the museum. Take part in our Up Close with ACM Tactile Experience, led by facilitators from Dialogue in the Dark Singapore and our museum docents. Or join in guided tours of our galleries that will be supported by sign language interpreters from Singapore Association for the Deaf. You can also look forward to drop-in craft activities and artmaking workshops catered to differing abilities, and themed to our latest special exhibition Batik Kita: Dressing in Port Cities.
At Up Close with ACM: Upsized, you’ll find something for everyone.
The well-being of our visitors and staff remains our primary concern. For your safety, ACM implements and follows all current safe management measures for staff and visitors. For more information, please visit National Heritage Board's Safe Management Measures for Museum Stakeholders.
Up Close with ACM: A tactile museum experience by facilitators from Dialogue in the Dark
2–3.30pm
River Room, L2
$10 refundable deposit
ACM has partnered with Dialogue in the Dark Singapore to develop an intimate programme led by facilitators with Visual Impairment. During this 90-minute session, participants can, while blindfolded, handle 3D-printed objects based on ones in the museum’s collection. They will then get to experience the museum in a new way, from the perspective of their visually impaired facilitators, as they tour ACM’s Maritime Trade and Court & Company galleries.
This programme is generously supported by Keppel.
