Heritage Town Award

The NHB Heritage Town Award was first awarded in 2011 to recognise and promote greater local community ownership of their heritage. This bi-annual Award scheme encourages the community to organise and participate in heritage activities that celebrates both Singapore and the community's history and origins.

Who can apply for the Award?

Citizens' Consultative Committees (CCC) can apply on behalf of their communities for the Heritage Town Award. Please contact our NHB officer at 6332 4495 or e-mail for any enquiries.

Who is the Award for?

The award is open to all CCCs with a proven record of past heritage activities. The CCCs must also clearly articulate the vision of their heritage town supported with a proposed calendar of innovative activities promoting heritage for the upcoming 2 years.

How and when to apply?

To apply, please download the following forms:

The award opens for application every two years. The submission deadline for nominees will close in March 2014. Notification of results will be in July 2014 followed by announcement and presentation of Award.

All nominations by CCCs must reach NHB by 5pm, 1 March 2014. Applications must be submitted in one package together with supporting documents. Late applications will not be accepted.
