Archives Invites – Viknesh Kobinathan | Witness to War: Memories and Screens
Inspired by the exhibition Witness to War: Remembering 1942 organised by the National Museum of Singapore in 2017, the Asian Film Archive (AFA) curated "Memories and Screens", an international film programme that traced the historical development of and sentiments to the Fall of Singapore and the Pacific Theatre of World War II.
From Japan’s first feature-length animation to a P. Ramlee Malay classic; a star-studded Hollywood feature to a French arthouse gem, AFA's film programmer, Viknesh Kobinathan will share insights on how this diverse film programme was conceived.
