Investigating Land Use History | Histories

Collections, such as maps and aerial photographs, provide some historical perspectives of how past land uses have impacted the development of forest habitat after the land has been vacated. The work sometimes takes on a life of its own, branching into research on significant figures of our past. Join Environmental Consultant Tony O’Dempsey as he shares anecdotes and research about some interesting artefacts found in his work.

Held in conjunction with National Library’s upcoming exhibition, "Human x Nature: Environmental Histories of Singapore".
