NAFA Installation - Epoch
In collaboration with NAFA, NHB presents 10 virtual artworks by the students from the Fine Arts Faculty. Drawing inspiration from the history and heritage of Bras Basah.Bugis precinct, the students have created works that feature the lesser known stories of the precinct.

Expressing the transition of new developments and great change, this abstracted lantern structure is inspired by gathered stories of the Vanguard Building. The Vanguard Building is constantly showing a successful example of adaptive reuse. With various nostalgic memories captured by individuals, the use of the building continues to evolve and change over time. Change or passing of time takes over history but the memories and stories told one by one would still be lingering around. Using the idea of transparency, light and shadows, Epoch lanterns could give a haunting yet festive feel to welcome back the stories of the building.
