Sunburst Virtual Concert 2020

In the light of Covid-19, the fourth edition of Sunburst turns to the environment for inspiration and for the first time, takes on the form of a virtual concert.

Taking off from the theme of “Air”, “air” as in the basic essential to life and “air” as in to express feelings and thoughts, the 50-minute virtual concert will explore the notion of how interaction during Covid-19 takes on new and different meanings. From a movement piece set to Bach on a flight of stairs to John Lennon's "Imagine" by a 17-member a cappella group, and ukulele whiz Evan J De Silva who opened for The Piano Guys in Singapore in 2018, watch how music and movement can bring a school library, the canteen, a stairwell and a garden terrace to life!

Organised by The Business Times and produced by Global Cultural Alliance alongside creative director Jeremiah Choy, this annual fundraiser since 2017 aims to raise $250,000 in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore) [MDAS] and the SOTA Endowment Fund. Funds raised from this online campaign will be distributed equally between MDAS and SOTA EF.
