Everyday Superheroes

In this workshop, Artist Josef Lee will guide young creators to design superheroes based on professions they see around them.

How does one design a superhero based on the powers of ordinary people? In this workshop, Artist Josef Lee will guide young creators to design superheroes based on professions they see around them. Participants will also be able to draw a simple comic to show their superhero in action!

About Josef Lee
JOSEF LEE tells stories through pictures. As a picture-book author & artist, his illustrated short stories have been shared online since 2008. In 2017, Josef published his first picture-book via crowdfunding. Since then, he has published over 10 picture-books and 1 novel adaptation, in Singapore, China, Taiwan, Korea and Thailand. Josef also launched the 'House of Mini Picture Books' (www.minipicbooks.com/) - an online FREE resource of original picture stories by Singapore authors, to be downloaded / printed / DIY-ed into mini picture books. Simon’s family always makes sugee cake on special occasions. And today is one of those days. It’s Simon’s seventh birthday! He can’t wait to bite into a slice. But when Simon sits down to enjoy his treat, things don’t go as planned. Or so it seems, for unbeknown to Simon, his friends and family have been planning a birthday surprise for him – one that involves a marvellous sugee cake! This storytelling session is presented by the Speak Good English Movement.
