Tales from the Nusantara: Hafiz and the Raya Recipes

Have you ever wondered what is the significance of Hari Raya and what are some of the delicious Malay cuisines that are usually prepared and served on this special occasion?

Join Hafiz Rashid, Malay Heritage's docent and storyteller as he goes on a hunt to find his grandmother's recipes to whip up some dishes for Hari Raya! Then seek inspiration from the galleries to assemble your very own Raya dish in a hands-on craft activity segment. Children will also learn how to tie their own sarong in preparation for the festive day! 

This storytelling session is brought to you by the Malay Heritage Centre in collaboration with Children's Museum Singapore. 

Duration: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes

Venue: Children's Museum Singapore - Discovery Room (Level 2)

Recommended Age: 5 – 10 years old

Activity Fee: $8 per pax
