This is the final installation of the three-part series staged by the Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame (SWHF) in collaboration with the National Museum of Singapore. This third exhibition will look at some key issues and trends affecting women in Singapore today and pose questions about what the situation might be like in 2050.

The first exhibition, in 2018, explored the lives of women in pre-independence Singapore. The second exhibition, held in the last quarter of 2019, covered the period since Independence. This final exhibition will look at what lies ahead.

Children and young people visiting the exhibition can take in the ‘Find your Life Path quiz’ and learn about some key choices they may make about their path in life. At the end of the quiz, they will learn which Hall of Fame honouree made similar choices.

Spinning Connections

From food to performing arts, Southeast Asia’s intangible cultural heritage (ICH) is an important link to our past and intrinsic to our rich cultural identity. To pay homage to the time-honoured traditions and living expressions that define and connect us across the region, the National Museum of Singapore and the Maybank Foundation will be presenting a series of four original video artworks on the Museum’s LED Wall that showcase creative contemporary responses to the theme of intangible cultural heritage (ICH).
