youth special theatre
Between You and Me
25 Sep | 2pm – 4pm | The Salon, Level 1
$25 per ticket (special price of $20 per pax for youth aged 18-25)

Unlike a conventional theatre show, playback theatre is improvisational and draws on the audience’s experiences, moments, and feelings. Stories shared are transformed spontaneously into the stage performance, using elements of movement, dialogue, cloth, and music.

This special performance is presented by Tapestry Playback Theatre and inspired by the themes of the museum’s special exhibitions. Join us in a community dialogue about intercultural relationships during the pandemic. We invite you to share your stories, listen deeply to what others bring, and watch as the actors honour your stories!

Limited capacity; registration is required. Visit nmsplayback1.peatix.com to purchase a ticket.

Spinning Connections

From food to performing arts, Southeast Asia’s intangible cultural heritage (ICH) is an important link to our past and intrinsic to our rich cultural identity. To pay homage to the time-honoured traditions and living expressions that define and connect us across the region, the National Museum of Singapore and the Maybank Foundation will be presenting a series of four original video artworks on the Museum’s LED Wall that showcase creative contemporary responses to the theme of intangible cultural heritage (ICH).
