Join us in commemorating International Women’s Day on 6 and 7 March!

In the Year of Celebrating SG Women, the National Museum of Singapore will be presenting stories from its galleries which showcase and celebrate women’s multi-faceted contributions and progress throughout Singapore’s history.

$7 per ticket includes 45mins tour and notebook, with a special price of $12 for a pair of tickets.

Find out more about the stories of Singaporean women in the past and present through this special guided tour, specially created for International Women’s Day!

Go back in time to the early 20th century in our Modern Colony gallery, which explores the evolution of women’s roles in an increasingly “modern” society, and learn more about women’s contributions in the areas of law, education, sports, and philanthropy.

All tour participants can also redeem a special notebook (U.P. $7.50) featuring designs inspired by the National Museum!

Music Performances by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO)

Gallery Theatre, Basement Level | $5 per ticket

Join us for an afternoon of special performances presented by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra in commemoration of International Women’s Day. Presented by an all-women ensemble and featuring a selection of folk music, classical and popular tunes, these performances pay tribute to women in Singapore and reflects Singapore’s cultural diversity.

Complete your experience with an exploration of the museum’s Modern Colony gallery, which features the transformation of women’s roles and identity at the turn of the 20th century.

Visit our permanent galleries with your little ones and play spot-the-artefact! Our colourful Early Learning Resources introduce pre-schoolers to our artefacts according to the themes of Numbers, Colours, and ABCs. Available at $8 per set from the Museum Label shop.
