Art as Therapy Workshop – Feeling at Home [Sold Out]
22 Aug | 2.30 − 5pm
The Salon, Level 1
$10 per participant
This Art as Therapy workshop is designed for families and members of the general public, and aims to encourage participants to reflect on and creatively express what places and experiences make them “feel at home” in Singapore.
The session begins with a guided visit to our two special exhibitions − Home, Truly: Growing Up with Singapore, 1950s to the Present and Picturing the Pandemic: A Visual Record of COVID-19 in Singapore − where our docents will introduce fascinating artefacts about Singapore as our home.
Participants can then enjoy a therapeutic origami box art-making activity, and draw inspiration from the exhibitions to express their ideas and feelings about “home” using STAEDTLER materials.
Limited spaces available. Price is inclusive of guided tour by docents, facilitated origami box art-making activity and colouring materials supported by STAEDTLER.
This programme is suitable for all participants aged 7 and above and is held in conjunction with the exhibitions Home, Truly: Growing Up with Singapore, 1950s to the Present and Picturing the Pandemic: A Visual Record of COVID-19 in Singapore. This programme is supported by STAEDTLER and ArtWorks.
