Celebrate the National Museum's 133rd birthday with us this 17 and 18 October! Embark on one 'historic' mission and snap three photos of three artefacts to redeem a personalised gift! Complete your exploration of the museum's galleries with some retail therapy, and treat yourself to the National Museum's exclusive range of museum designed notebook, mug and mask to bring a piece of the museum home with you.


Join our Birthday Hunt and embark on this 1 hunt with 3 clues that leads you to 3 exciting artefacts in our museum (133rd Anniversary). Be inspired to explore the museum at your own pace with the clues to complete the hunt and redeem a personalised National Museum of Singapore inspired A5 notebook with your initials. We invited Ms Clayrene (a fashion illustrator) to personalise your notebook by writing your preferred name.


There are 4 designs for you to choose from. You can select your choice upon registering for the activity.

Please quote your registration number (ticket number) and email us at nhb_nm_corpcomms@nhb.gov.sg your preferred name (max. 2 characters) to be personalised on the notebook.

Terms and conditions:

Participants are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before event start time for registration. Each participant may only register once, do allow others a chance to participate in this event too. Each participant can redeem only one personalised A5 notebook. No changes are allowed upon selection of the preferred design and the preferred name provided. Limited copies are available for redemption. Other terms and conditions apply.

Family Time

Visit our permanent galleries with your little ones and play spot-the-artefact! Our colourful Early Learning Resources introduce pre-schoolers to our artefacts according to the themes of Numbers, Colours, and ABCs. Available at $8 per set from the Museum Label shop. OFF / ON: Everyday Technology that Changed our Lives, 1970s – 2000s

OFF / ON. Step into this immersive showcase and explore how everyday technological tools changed and shaped the lives of Singaporeans from the 1970s to 2000s.

Exhibition Gallery, Basement Level, 10am - 7pm. The gallery will be closed earlier on Fridays, Saturdays, and other selected days in preparation for the Escape Room Game, with last admission at 5.30pm. View the full list of affected dates for the Aug/Sept Escape Room Game slots below. The museum may bring forward the last admission timing earlier than as stipulated, in consideration of the crowd situation during peak periods especially Saturday afternoons.
