A Trader’s Voyage

An live, interactive performances about a trader’s experience, which will begin at the Rotunda, and lead visitors on a journey to the exhibition.
An Old New World Marketplace
The Canyon, Basement Level and Bus Bay, Level 2 | 11am to 6pm

Come visit our marketplace inspired by scenes from old port cities, with antique collectibles, tea and spices you can take home, and delectable food offerings with our F&B stalls in the Bus Bay.

Try your hand at making a cabochon magnet, featuring iconic artefacts from An Old New World. This is something visitors of all ages can enjoy, while stocks last!

Join us on a learning journey around the museum and discover more interesting gems about this 132-year-old building.

Limited to 15 pairs of parent and child (aged 7 & up) on a first come, first served basis.

Show your support for our beloved museum on its birthday. Enjoy and decorate a delicious cupcake when you make a recommended donation of $2. Cupcakes are generously supported by Palate Sensations Culinary School. A leading culinary leisure school, they deliver hands on cooking classes across a broad spectrum of cuisines, baking and pastry classes; as well as parents and kids classes, corporate team building and private parties and events. Weapons of the New World by Caesars

Learn more about European weapons from the 17th to 19th centuries by getting up close and personal with exclusive replicas during this hands-on session by Caesars.

Our colourful Early Learning Resources introduce pre-schoolers to our artefacts according to the themes of Numbers, Colours, and ABCs. Available at $8 per set from the Museum Label shop. Now Boarding: Experiencing Singapore through Travel, 1800s – 2000s

Hop aboard the National Museum of Singapore’s ‘flight’ to discover Singapore through a travel-themed exhibition that traces the evolution of Singapore’s identity as a popular travel destination, through the eyes of those who arrived at our shores from the past to the present.

Spinning Connections

From food to performing arts, Southeast Asia’s intangible cultural heritage (ICH) is an important link to our past and intrinsic to our rich cultural identity. To pay homage to the time-honoured traditions and living expressions that define and connect us across the region, the National Museum of Singapore and the Maybank Foundation will be presenting a series of four original video artworks on the Museum’s LED Wall that showcase creative contemporary responses to the theme of intangible cultural heritage (ICH).
