Join us on an experiential tour and discover the evolution of Singapore’s food scene. We begin with a tour of NMS’s special exhibition – Now Boarding: Experiencing Singapore through Travel, 1800s–2000s – highlighting the history and evolvement of our vibrant culinary landscape.

We will then continue on a food trail with experienced guides from Tour About Singapore as they bring you on a gastronomical journey to Chinatown – a hawker haven for many locals, where they will share little-known fun facts about the location and despite its name, how Singapore’s diverse cultures are represented before introducing you to familiar hawker favourites.

Limited spaces available.

* Price includes museum sharing, guided food tour including food for sampling and one-way transportation from the museum to Chinatown. Food selected for this trail will not contain pork or lard and will include items with dairy and seafood. Food samples may be served in pairs, therefore, solo participants may be required to share a set with another participant. This programme is suitable for participants ages 13 and above. As this is mostly a walking trail, please wear comfortable shoes.

This programme is presented in conjunction with the museum’s special exhibition, Now Boarding: Experiencing Singapore through Travel, 1800s–2000s. Please note that photos will be taken and may be used for future publicity.
