Look forward to lectures by Adjunct Professor Kevin YL Tan on 31 August and Dr Ho Chi Tim on 26 October, in conjunction with Semangat yang Baru, which will shed new light on Singapore’s challenges and dilemmas between the 1950s and 1970s.

From a colony to self-government, to a state in Malaysia and then finally an independent nation, the road of Singapore’s constitutional development has seen many twists and turns. In this talk organized in conjunction with the Founders’ Memorial’s pilot exhibition – Semangat yang Baru: Forging a New Singapore Spirit – constitutional law expert Prof Kevin YL Tan takes you through some of the ups and downs of this journey.
