Group Visits

Step into the National Museum of Singapore to immerse in 700 years of Singapore’s history and more!

Whether you are visiting our galleries at leisure, or would like an experienced guide to bring your group through our galleries, prior booking for all group visits of more than 20 people is required. This will help us ensure that our galleries will not be overcrowded so that you, your guests and all visitors will enjoy their time here with us.

General Group Visits

For corporate, travel/tourist or community group visits with more than 20 people, please complete and submit the Group Visit Enquiry Form at least 2 weeks in advance. Our Visitor Services officer will contact you within 3 working days.

For general group visits, admission into the Permanent Galleries is free for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents while admission charges will apply for non-Singaporeans and non-Permanent Residents. Admission charges will also apply for all visitors into Special Exhibitions.

Terms and Conditions

  1. All visitors will need to obtain admission tickets from the Visitor Services counter at the ground floor of the museum before entering the galleries. More information to ensure your group visit proceeds smoothly will be provided once your booking is confirmed and you receive a Confirmation Form from us.
  2. If no prior booking has been made and you do not receive the Confirmation Form from our Visitor Services officer, you will not be able to enjoy any discounts or special rates (eg 20% discount off full-price admission for 20 or more people, travel agent rates, etc). For capacity control, your group may also not be allowed to enter the galleries until a later time.
  3. All cancellations or changes must be made in writing at least 5 working days in advance. A $50 administration fee will be levied for cancellations made less than 5 working days in advance or for no-shows.

Private Tours for Groups

Private tours by our experienced guides for corporate, travel/tourist or community groups can also be arranged to deepen your visit experience. Tours in English, Mandarin or Japanese are available.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Fees for private group tours are $200 per guide per hour. Maximum 15 persons to a guide.
  2. Admission fees to the gallery (Permanent or Special Exhibition) apply separately.

Once payment is made, you will receive a Booking Confirmation with information to ensure your group visit proceeds smoothly.
  4. Any cancellation or changes must be made in writing at least 5 working days in advance. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 5 working days in advance or for no-shows.
  5. Should the attendee(s) be late by more than 15 minutes for the tour, which would result in a delay in the commencement of the tour, the guide reserves the right to not proceed with the tour with no refund. An additional full hour of guided tour charge per guide will be added to the original guided tour fee if the attendee(s) is/are late which then results in the late commencement of the tour by 30 minutes to an hour.
