Heritage Education Programmes

Museum Educator-Guides Programme

The Museum Educator-Guides Programme is a pilot collaboration with the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) and National Museum of Singapore (NMS). The programme aims to train experienced and/or retired Educators as specialised Museum-Educator Guides to lead learning journeys for Primary and Secondary School students at the museums. The programme seeks to reinvent the perception of guided tours, and develop renewed interest in Singapore’s heritage and multi-cultural history among students through the embodied passion and teaching experience of educators.

The programme is currently open for application. Apply NOW if you are someone with:

  • A passion for museums, history and heritage
  • Have teaching experience of 3 years and above, preferably in Social Studies, Character and Citizenship Education, History and National Education
  • Communicates well in English, both verbal and written
  • Have basic classroom management skills, enjoys interacting with students
  • Can commit to the training period and guide regularly for at least 5 sessions
