Weave your way to the museum this weekend as we explore the art of embroidery. Watch embroidery being done on a manual sewing machine, admire beautiful embroidery textiles in the galleries, and discover Japanese sashiko stitching and orizomegami. Learn from our heritage crafter Jackie Sam and Heath Yeo as they share their expertise on embroidery and showcase a special collection of fashionwear with meaningful embroidered motifs that can be found on the fukusa in the Fukusa: Japanese Gift Covers from the Chris Hall Collection exhibition.

Enjoy discounted admission to Fukusa: Japanese Gift Covers from the Chris Hall Collection during programme hours. Redeem a free postcard when you purchase a ticket to the special exhibition and follow Peranakan Museum (@peranakanmuseum) on Instagram.
