Story Time About Women Who Make A Difference: Forest Guardians

Date: 14 Mar 2024

Time: 2:30pm & 4:30pm

Sandy and Mindy are forest guides who have magical abilities to gather secrets from Nature with just a touch or whisper. They have discovered that the forest is falling ill, along with all the plants and animals that live in it! Help them restore the health of the forest with their two awesome friends - Han Sai Por and Yang Chang Man – and learn how they brought attention to sustainability in Singapore through art and conservation.

This storytelling session is a part of a series of interactive storytelling sessions called Story Time about Women Who Make A Difference brought to you by Project Awesome. Project Awesome is an initiative by the Singapore Council of Women's Organisations.

 

Duration: Approximately 30 minutes

Date: 14 March 2024

Time: 2:30pm & 4:30pm

Venue: Children’s Museum Singapore – Discovery Room

Recommended Age: 5 to 9 years old

Activity Fee: Free. As this is a free programme, participation will be based on a first-come-first-served basis and limited to museum visitors only.

A young camper overheard a conversation between a Bird, a Squirrel, and a Sambar Deer. They speak of a sacred tree on Bukit Larangan, where whoever sleeps beneath it can never wake from their dreams. There is also a saying that the tree will reveal secrets and treasures of the past that has yet to be found. So which is it? Will the young camper find out the truth behind the Tree of Dreams or will the animals get there first without him? This is a part of Singapore Night Festival 2024.
