Join us for a special session at ACM’s newly refreshed Scholars Gallery. Singaporean qin maestro Kee Chee Koon will offer a live performance of selected pieces, while sharing insights about how to listen to and appreciate this ancient instrument.

The session will be conducted in Chinese.

About the speaker

Kee Chee Koon
Kee Chee Koon is the first Singaporean to earn a doctorate in qin studies in China. He spent more than twenty years reconstructing thirty-two ancient qin compositions from the Qin Entablature of the Great Return Pavilion, compiled in the 17th century. In additional to researching and performing, Kee is a passionate educator who is dedicated to teaching new generations about the art of the qin.
