Play:Date – Unlocking Cabinets of Play

05 Jul 2024 – 05 Jan 2025

What's On: October 2024

After eight memorable years, we will be saying goodbye to our beloved Story of the Forest as our Glass Rotunda prepares to undergo restoration works. Do also take this last chance to visit our Singapore, Very Old Tree exhibit at the end of the Forest's trail, and reflect on the tales those ancient trees could tell of the lives and stories they've witnessed.

Rediscover playtime across generations with our experiential showcase, Play:Date – Unlocking Cabinets of Play. Just as kids can turn any space into a playground, Play:Date reimagines the Museum's construction hoardings and temporary spaces as a joyous wonderland featuring nostalgic collections of toys, games, and larger-than-life interactive art by Singaporean artists. We welcome donations of toys and games from the 1980s onwards to our Play &Toys Open Call, running until 5 January 2025.

Enjoy free admission for all to our museum's galleries on 12 & 13 October 2024 for a final visit to our two Glass Rotunda exhibits.
