Komala Vilas Vegetarian Restaurant
Komala Vilas Vegetarian Restaurant has served residents and visitors to Little India since 1947, and counts Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi amongst its customers. The restaurant hosted the heads of state in 2015 during the latter’s visit to Singapore.
The restaurant has built a loyal and diverse customer base and remains deeply tied to community identity and tradition. With its original recipes, stone grinders, and workshops on Idly and Dosai, it preserves and shares its culinary legacy across generations.
