Children’s Season is back and even bigger this year! Through this year’s theme of Hopes and Dreams, we invite children to explore different occupations in the past and present and think about who they may want to be in the future. With an exciting line-up of family-friendly programmes featuring a diverse range of comic artists and museums, we hope children will be inspired and perhaps create a “new” job that is yet unknown!

The full list of Children’s Season 2023 programmes offered by participating Museum Roundtable members can be found here.

Get ready for a creative and immersive time with our 14 diverse talented artists as they come together to offer 30 different exciting comic art workshops across 10 different participating museums! These unique sessions aim to inspire young creators by tapping into the wealth of knowledge and experience these facilitators can provide.

Drawing on the rich history and fascinating artefacts of our museums, these workshops will take participants on a journey that emphasises different comic skills based on the individual artists’ strengths. Among the range of skills covered are story-telling techniques, story structure, drawing inspiration from everyday life, character design, drawing expressions, creating thought and word balloons, adding depth and dimension to drawings, producing mini-books, costume design, and environmental design.
