Collections Management

Collections Management covers the management of the National Collection, both in terms of storage and preventive conservation of the physical artefacts and artworks, as well as documentation.

The Registration section here oversees the accessioning, documentation, storage, preventive conservation and logistical management of the National Collection. It also facilitates access to the collection for museum curators and researchers to view, research and select pieces for display at our museums and institutions.

The Visual Resources section ensures that photo documentation, an important part of collection documentation, is accurate and complete. The section maintains an Artefact Image Library, which contains digital images of the National Collection. These images are uploaded to Roots.sg, our heritage resource portal, for everyone to enjoy.
