The National Heritage Board (NHB) encourages greater community ownership of our shared history and heritage, with various grants schemes tailored to different heritage enthusiasts and their projects. A wide range of projects have benefitted from the scheme, from publications and documentaries, to exhibitions and events, adding to the variety of heritage touch-points and offerings Singaporeans can enjoy.

Notice

The Heritage Grants Scheme (Minor and Major Project Grants) now provides up to 80% funding coverage for qualifying community heritage projects, increased from the previous 50%. This enhancement takes effect for applications submitted from April 2026 onwards. Applicants must use the updated grant guidelines.

APPROVED MUSEUM SCHEME

If you would like to open a public museum to promote the appreciation of Singapore's history, art and culture, do sign up to be an Approved Museum.
