HAN Heritage Champions

Heritage Champions: Call for Volunteers for Heritage Activation Nodes

Heritage is for all! Join us in developing vibrant festivals and dynamic programmes that re-discover and celebrate the heritage of our neighbourhoods! Become a Heritage Champion for our Heritage Activation Nodes (HANs) where you can play the following roles, both physically and digitally:

  • Be the face of HAN events and contribute to visitor experience;
  • Facilitate HAN programmes, activities, and trails;
  • Provide expertise in research and writing;
  • Befriend HAN participants, and more!

The first HAN at Katong-Joo Chiat is launching in April 2024 and a myriad of volunteering opportunities will be available from end-2023. As a HAN Heritage Champion, you can also expect to undergo expert-led training to gain valuable knowledge, which will help you grow and make a greater impact in promoting Singapore's cultural heritage. Do note that a minimum commitment of one year, with contribution to at least two volunteering roles, will be required.

Embrace this chance to make a tangible impact on our community's legacy – become a Heritage Champion today and indicate your interest to volunteer via this form.* You may also refer to our FAQs or email us at NHB_HAN@nhb.gov.sg for more information.

*Note: An information session will be conducted in December 2023 for aspiring HAN Heritage Champions. During this session, we will share more about the HAN initiative, what to expect as a HAN Heritage Champion, and the available volunteering opportunities. Further details of this session will be provided separately, so register your interest for more information.
