BRAS BASAH
Known as Singapore’s arts and heritage district, Bras Basah is home to a vibrant ecosystem of cultural institutions, educational centres, and creative spaces. Heritage businesses here reflect the neighbourhood’s long-standing association with the arts, from speciality bookshops to art supply stores in Bras Basah Complex that continue to serve generations of artists, students, and collectors.
Basheer Graphic Books
Basheer Graphic Books houses an eclectic range of books related to art, culture, design and anything in between. More than just a bookstore, Basheer is an institution within the indie community, being involved in exhibitions and DJ sets.
This bookstore has earned accolades and mentions from international publications while still showing their commitment to enriching the creative landscape. In fact, owner Mr Nasser will likely be more than happy to help recommend an obscure design book, or allow you to busk in his store if you ask nicely.
